Remember, in His Word, God has:

  • Something to see – what does the text say
  • Something to understand – what does it mean
  • Something to apply – what does it mean to me
  • Something to praise – for what are you thankful?

(1) Through the Bible

Day 1: Numbers 26,27Day 4: Num 31,32
Day 2: Num 28,29Day 5: Num 33,34
Day 3: Num 30,31Day 6: Num 35,36

This week, our devotional theme will follow this Sunday’s theme of clean and unclean. When we come upon this section (chapters 11-15 of Leviticus) we can easily be put off by the detailed instructions pertaining to clean and unclean animals, and a little too much discussion on various bodily discharges! When we read scripture faithfully we will see important practical and theological considerations that help us make sense of Leviticus, but moreover on this side of the cross we also see how Jesus reorients the whole discussion.
